WEDDING CEREMONY
I offer three options.
Option One: The first is simply to choose my set ceremony which runs for about 15 minutes (it can be shortened).
Option Two: The second is to choose from a selection I will give you.
Option Three: The last option is to write your own ceremony using a booklet I will lend you. This is quite easy as it mostly involves mixing and matching all the different sections which I will explain to you at our meeting. You always can go even further afield and personalize it even more. Please keep in mind, there are a few sentences that are compulsory by law for me to say.
MARRIAGE REHEARSALS
These are free and most couples come to my house two weeks prior to the wedding to check all my paperwork, to sign the final stat dec and to have a complete run through. This is highly recommended to save nerves on the day!
BABY NAMINGS AND RE-AFFIRMATIONS
One of the joys of being a celebrant is watching families grow and being invited back to renew their vows or name their babies. I have a variety of ceremonies on offer and those who have the time usually meet with me to discuss individual requests and ceremonies. Baby namings are $90 for Logan City area and a little more if further afield. Certificates are available for a small fee for the baby, godparents and special people like grandparents. Reaffirmations are generally $150 for my area- again more for distance. There is a commemorative certificate provided free with this.
FUNERALS
Sometimes families request I do their loved one`s funeral. As one man said, "You can`t just have us for our good times." I help with the eulogy and try to make the ceremony as personal as possible - a real celebration of a life.
COMMITMENT CEREMONIES
Please ring me to discuss ceremonies and special requests- these are some of the most meaningful and emotional ceremonies I do. The fees are $150, depending on the distance I have to travel. I have a selection of ceremonies for you to choose from, and I give you a commemorative certificate.
NOTICE of INTENDED MARRIAGE
A Notice of Intended Marriage must be completed and received by me at least 1 month and one day prior to the wedding. (Please contact me if you are unable to personally see me to sign the Notice for further advice.)

I have copies or visit www.ag.gov.au to obtain a form.
How long does the Application stay active for?
Once completed, the Notice of Intended Marriage stays active for 18 months.
I have to sight birth certificates (or a current passport from another country)
What if I have been married before?
If married before, I have to see either a decree nisi or death certificate.
What other legal forms do I have to sign?
A Stat. Dec has to be signed in the lead up to the wedding.
What paperwork will I receive after the ceremony?
I give you a certificate of marriage - the official copy can be applied for through me or directly from the Registry Office after the wedding. Currently the official copy costs $35 or $49 for a pretty commemorative version.
FEES
I have a basic fee for Logan City area of $300 but charge a little extra for travelling outside this area, depending on the distance. This covers everything except the official certificate from the Registry Office, currently $35 or $49 for the commemorative one. I can assist in acquiring this. for an admin fee of $5 A non-refundable deposit of $100 is requested.
LOCATIONS
My home area is Logan City and surrounds, but I have done weddings in hot air balloons, I’ve been dropped onto a deserted beach by plane, had a ceremony at a country hall in Bell, some at Twin Towns Service Club, but most of my weddings are at local parks, or at private gardens or wedding gardens like Joncia Gardens or Paradise Gardens. My own home or garden is available for small groups.
